Have a day off.
I was at swimming lessons this afternoon. Jaec (6) was in the pool, Kaine (5) and Izaac (4) were sitting playing and I just started feeding Yve some Gel for afternoon tea.
I was 2 spoonfuls in when Izaac asked to go to the toilet. He had the wee dance happening, so I had to take him. Yve would have surely cracked it if I stopped feeding her, so I asked Kaine if he could feed her for me. He said...

I've tried two times
Izaac is going through a very weird “Good phase”… I’m hoping that he is finally coming out of the terrible 2’s over two years late.
I asked the boys to get into their pajamas whilst they were watching Octonauts and yes like when I am watching the football when someone asks me to do something… I just sit there gazing into the pretty box with the colours.
As I...

Sometimes you can feel so overwhelmed. Your partner is really busy at work, the house needs cleaning, the kids have been watching tv for hours and you are hanging the clothes on the line thinking about all the stuff you haven’t done.
Take a moment, stop your fav pod cast you are listening too and watch some butterflies playing and listen to the serenity.

I love laying in.
Every now and then Mel is nice enough to let me have a sleep-in. I really enjoy this time, not only because I’m not up at 5:30am looking like the walking dead trying to make Yve a bottle, but when I wake up, I just lay there, listening to the conversations that Mel has with the kids.
Today was a good day for eavesdropping. I heard Mel making breakfast… either omelettes, french toast...

You know you are a true "Stay at home Dad" when.
You get the first beautiful warm spring day of the year and the first thing you think is “Awesome, finally, I know the washing will dry on the clothes line.”

Baby sneezes are cute... most of the time.
I fed Yve a little later this afternoon as she had a longer day sleep. Due to this, I was running a little late to pick up the boys.
I had Yve in my arms and was picking up the nappie bag etc. to leave when Yve sneezed.
“Bless you”
and then again…
“Bless you”
and again, and again, and again, and again…. ooooooh no…
BRWOOOOAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Glue
Is it bad if I use epoxy resin for Kaine’s homework, because his glue stick has dried up?

Uh oh, how is this going to end...
I have these moments all the time and I’m sure that those of you with children have them too. These moments are when your child says something to sibling or a friend and your not sure whether you should stop the conversation straight away, or just let it go to see how it ends… here is a recent example of my 4 year old and 6 year old having a conversation.
Jaec - “I have a knock...

As long as you have fun.
Kaine (5) was ready for school (for the first time not dragging the chain) and was baiting his brothers saying “I won, I am dressed first!”. I was pretty impressed when Izaac (4) responded “It doesn’t matter if you win, as long as you are having fun”. Jaec (6) backed him up saying “Yeah, it’s better if you have fun!”
Kaine came back with...

Who says men can't multi-task?
A number of people have told me that I am becoming a woman (including my wife). Now I am starting to believe them.
I have a few errands to run today, but need to feed Yve first, so I am sitting at Zarraffa’s Coomera. I need to update iTunes and a few other things on the laptop, so I pop him open and get that started as well…
Who says men can’t multi task.
I love it when
You see your baby sleeping and you lean forward to have a closer look. He/she looks so peaceful, you lean closer just to give the lightest of kisses on their cheek and they drop the biggest fart.

Happy Father's Day to all the real Dad's.
Hope all you real father’s had a great Father’s Day.
To all the Father’s that are responsible for their children, not just responsible for being a penis.
The Father’s that are there whenever their child and mother of their child need them, not just financially.
The Father’s that are a part of every day of their child’s lives, not just until their teenagers.

Online Shopping - I'm addicted.
I love to shop online for stuff for my kids, whether it’s clothes, shoes or toys… I probably buy a little too much online. Some of my favourite sellers are on Facebook. I love Vintage Ruffle and more recently For Eva Lilah (both Clothes and Toys).
You can get some great bargains, whether it’s high quality items that have to last for 4 kids, or the “latest craze”...
