Turning problems into solutions.
Until recently, Yve was… how do you say… “lacking in the moving stakes”. This from my point of view was a good thing. You put her down and walked away for 30 seconds, returned and she was still there. Now she is getting her “commando on”… you turn your head for one second, and she is licking a power point.
One of the first things we noticed now she is...

My life has changed yet again.
After questioning Yve for about 6 months “When are you going to crawl?”, this weekend she really got her move on.
If I took her anywhere, I always received comments. “She is so good, she just sits quietly in her pram”, “Isn’t she great, you wouldn’t know she was there”. “She is so quiet… do you drug her?”
Now she moves and knows...

Child back pack harness with leash.
Recently on losebabyweight.com.au the question was raised “Do you like or dislike the Children’s back pack with a safety restraint?”. It really stirred people up. In less than an hour, there were over 100 comments. To be honest the majority were in favor of the harness. I was surprised. I was not a fan at all initially, but as I read on, I opened up my mind a little more.

Auto response.
I have found that I am automatically responding to various comments from the kids. For example, I was serving dinner tonight and Jaecob said
“I need to go to the toilet”
I responded with “Poo or Wee?”
Like it really mattered!?

What I look forward too - Music
I am thoroughly enjoying raising each and every one of my children. I try and not take any day for granted, as Jaecob will never be 7 years, 1 month and 6 days old ever again, Kaine will never be 5 years, 10 months 1 week and 4 days old ever again… etc. etc.
Every day I learn something new about parenting. I haven’t had “The talk” with any of my kids yet, I haven’t...
No, that's not what I meant.
I got in trouble this morning. Yve was having some play time and started to get a bit whingy.
Mel asked me to give Yve her breakfast. I said “Yeah, let me just do something first.”
I went over to Yve and shoved the dummy in. “Hold on baby, I’ll be back. I’ll just drop the kids off at the pool”
The boys started jumping around “Yay, we are going to...

But you're the boss.
Kaine (5) asked me if he could play with the iPod recently when we had some friends over, I told him no, as we had people over.
He just dipped his head and walked over to his mother.
“Mum, can I play with the iPod?”
“Didn’t you just ask your father and he said “No”?”
“Yeah, that is why I am asking you.”
“But your dad said...

What do you want to do today?
We were having a family meeting in our bed this morning. The chairperson asked the question. “What do you want to do today?”. All the hands went up, saying “Pick me, pick me”. Mel picked Izaac (4).
“Um, uuuuum, uuuuuuuuum…
Aaah…
Ummmmm…
I think we should get some beers… and watch the cricket” Izaac responded.
Izaac is now my...
